Update from Your Student Council

Dear friends, I hope everyone had a great time and a chance to refresh during the summer. Many of you spent part of your holidays as an intern and gained valuable experience. I am confident your efforts will pay off and put you one step ahead.

I know you are wondering what your student council was up to during the summer. Although we wish them all the best, we were also sad to have four key members graduate in May. They were Çınar Kurtoğlu (general secretary), Beyazıt Aksöz (vice president), Ayfer Öztürk (vice president), and Ali Ekşi (vice president). While this was expected, the impact on the student council was not. We were unable to fill their positions during the summer. However, as your student council president, I have done my very best to organize some events for the new semester. I assure you that prior to elections your student council will not be passive. My hope is that the new members coming aboard will adapt quickly and we can make our projects and ideas a reality.

In the following weeks I will keep you informed about our situation and plans.

I hope that the 2007-2008 academic year will bring you great success.
Good Luck!

Necmi Candemir
President,
Student Council
