In total there were 35 projects from over 20 Turkish universities. An Interview with
Top Scorer Fatih Karataş

Bilkent News has the scoop! We had the opportunity to interview the 2007 University Entrance Exam top scorer Fatih Karataş! Like all newcomers, he was very busy with the Orientation Program in his first week at Bilkent. Fatih, who earned first place in the "equally-rated" score testing, has decided to become part of Bilkent's Economics Department.

So, why did Fatih choose Bilkent? "The main reason I chose Bilkent was because it has better academic and social facilities when compared to other universities in Turkey, and also Bilkent is highly recognized internationally." The warm atmosphere offered by Bilkent during the University selection period also swayed Fatih. He said one-to-one meetings with academicians and campus tours given by the Bilkent student guides were very informative and helped make his decision that much easier!

Fatih was born in Erzurum in 1990 and lived in Bursa for 17 years. He knew he would be successful and one of the top scorers in the university entrance exam. So being the TOP scorer didn't surprise him.

Besides acing exams, Fatih enjoys sports like basketball, football, and table tennis. He also happens to enjoy reading, especially books about history! Congratulations, Fatih! We wish you success in your academic and social life at Bilkent University.
