Women's Team
Bilkent University's women's basketball team played against METU on Wednesday, December 7.
The first half proved to be hard for Bilkent, but it ended in a score of 17 to 17. At the
beginning of the second half, Bilkent took control of the game with good defense, as METU
moved away from their game plan. Bilkent kept up their impressive performance in both
defense and offense and played well in the last periods to win the game with a convincing
score of 61 to 36.
 
Men's Team
Bilkent University's men's basketball team, who lost against Hacettepe in the last round
in the cup chase, had difficulties in the first period of the game. METU's defense was
forced, but the first half closed at an even 35 to 35 because Bilkent was ineffective in
outer shots. METU started fast in the second half and took the lead. With the support of
the audience, however, Bilkent pushed hard and reduced the difference to just 1 point
before falling behind again to a score of 74 to 59, just 5 minutes before the buzzer. The
Bilkent men's team gave it a good shot, but couldn't compete against METU's strong offense
and lost the game.
