 Last week, Siyaset Platformu Kulübü invited Murat Belge - Turkish writer, publisher and academician - to be a guest lecturer, discussing Military-Civilian relations.
Mr. Belge gave background on the subject, explaining the progress of militaries, using the French Revolution and its mass production effects as a starting point. He illustrated how the structure and ideologies in militaries have developed, both in relation to high technology and a prominent reliance on machines, and how armies function in societies.
