Second
year students from the Department of Graphic Design worked very hard to put together an
exhibit of their works in the FADA exhibition hall. The end product of months of creation
has been described as colorful and energetic, and offers viewers a wide range of genres
and content.
“The works we have done in the whole year were selected by our instructors to be
displayed in the exhibition. There are illustration based works as well as group works
about global warming, countries, flowers we designed for artists, pop-up cards, lyrical
illustrations, phobias, portraits and book covers. The lyrical illustrations are in black
and white. We used vector-based computer programs to make the portraits. They are
portraits of us and our teachers.” say Dilem Akıner and Mert Müderrisoğlu, two of the
students who helped organize the exhibition.
“The organizing team consisted of thirty seven students and two
instructors. This exhibition, I think, turned out to be a very successful one and we have
to say that everyone put forth a good effort to make this happen, especially our
instructors.”
The exhibition opened on May 6 and will run until May 14 from 10
a.m. to 4 p.m. weekdays. Its worth checking out, both for the
quality of the content and to show your support for the Bilkent arts community.
