The Runaway Sheep

yigit turhanYou cannot deny it. It was a crazy year! Now that we are slowly walking to the end of the school term, hand in hand, I am kind of sad to leave my column for a few months. Hopefully I'll be back on track by September. I believe you can get along without me for a brief period, right?

So, after finals week, all you have to do is concentrate on a wonderful holiday plan. Go away! Leave the city! For five days, a month, only a week-end, two months, forever! Just do it! You deserve to rest a bit after a year of hard work. All I have in mind is to lay on the beach with a thriller in hand and the rays on my sunscreen soaked body. Hopefully, I'll find some time to accomplish that!

Before ending with a few wonderful quotes that I believe will help change your world (the secret, the secret!), and since this is my last column for the term, I want to thank a few people!

It's been a lovely adventure for me, writing all about crazy stuff like designer trains, high heels, mechanical animals and a bunch of other freaky things. In this rather hard journey, I owe a huge thanks to my editor, Chris Hearn, who actually improved the quality of communication between you and me. After a few weeks of working together, I stopped being stressed about not being able to express myself clearly. Given that I am also a novelist, I tend to blabber on and on at times. Now he has stopped thinking that I am "normal," right Mr. Hearn?

Another thank you goes to (Gosh, this feels like an Oscar moment. You must try writing a few sentences like this; it makes you feel... different?) Hande Seçkin Onat who never questioned my "unusual" type of writing and instead always supported my development! Another thanks goes to all my readers who happen to stop me on my way and ask about what I wrote for that week. And, to all the coolhunters out there, thank you!

turhanTo finish off my column, I wish all of you a wonderful holiday. I'll fill you in on five great tips for changing your destiny that I learned from the book "The Secret." Believe it or not, it does miracles! Hopefully, you will rest a little bit yourselves... with the person you love right next to you:
1) Happy feelings will attract more happy circumstances.
2) Start by using this sentence for all of your wants: "I'm so happy and grateful now that.... "
3) You don't need to know HOW the universe is going to rearrange itself.
4) You can start with nothing ... and out of nothing or no way - a WAY will be provided.
5) You are the only one that creates your reality.
