Last Sunday, the Bilkent Judges faced stiff challengers in the Gazi
Warriors. The opponents began the game with a strict offense, scoring two touchdowns in
the first 20 minutes before the Judges secured their 2 points. The Warriors offensive
strategy continued through the first quarter. By the end of the second quarter, the Judges
had made an 8-point gain. Unfortunately, at the halfway point, it was 10-22 for the
Warriors.
Both teams failed to make gains through the third quarter. In the last quarter, another 14
points were grabbed by the opponents, giving them a 26 point lead. This spurred a true
rebirth for the Judges as they forced the Warriors into making mistakes. Through an
efficient offensive performance, they snatched 14 points. It was not enough to take the
win, but the comeback showed that this team has the potential and passion for the
championship. The final score was 24-36 in favor of the Warriors.
The Judges were disappointed with the low fan turn out, so let's fill the seats for
upcoming games to feel the joy of winning together, and let the Judges know that they will
not walk alone.
