 The Bilkent University Preparatory School has become a member of
the International Schools Sports Association (ISSA). The aim is to provide international
opportunities for serious athletic competition. BUPS/BIS students, aged 14 to 18, now
compete regularly in soccer, volleyball, and basketball tournaments.
BUPS/BIS hosted an ISSA boys' volleyball tournament, November 1 to 3. Seven teams came
from the UK, Spain and Portugal. The visiting schools were: ACS Egham International School
(ACSE); American School of Madrid (ASM); Deutsche Schule, London (DSL); International
School of Aberdeen (ISA); International School of London (ISL); Southbank International
School (SIS) and St. Dominic's International School, Lisbon (SDIS).
Results of the tournament:
1st Place: International School of Aberdeen (ISA)
2nd Place: International School of London (ISL)
3rd Place: St. Dominic's International School, Lisbon (SDIS)
