Through the Sheep’s Eye
What is it about photography that fascinates so much? How can these superior dream like worlds be created that real life seems to lack? These are questions I lose myself in everytime I see a fantastic, yet surreal shot of either fashion or nature. The first part of this week's article is dedicated to Andrea Klarin, one of the most talented fashion photographers of today. Apart from the marvellous editorials Andrea has created for Vogue Italia, Wallpaper and YSL; the advertisements of Valentino, Whirlpool, Van Cleef and L'Oreal are must-sees. Recently, he had the courage to work with Ms. Grace Jones whose bold and iconic image helps to create a wonderful atmosphere in these pictures. For more, visit www.andreaklarin.com
The second part of this week's article is meant to encourage you to "adore" the creativity of just one of many new artists out there. When you enter Hannes Broecker's new exhibition area, he asks you to do so with an empty glass. What he has "created" for his new exhibition are paintings that can be "drunk." Viewers can "taste" art as they make their way through different picture frames with a variety of cocktails inside. You still have a chance to see the exhibition in Dresden, Germany.
