The Faculty of Art, Design and Architecture Gallery is pleased to present “Manhattan - the Magic of Steel and Glass” featuring photographs taken between 2001 and 2005 by Hakan Yurdadoğan, focusing on the unique and diverse architecture of the city.
According to Yurdadoğan, who is currently an instructor in the Faculty of Art, Design and Architecture, “It is hard to describe Manhattan with words. I tried to capture the magic, the colors and the excitement of this extraordinary city. This exhibit is an attempt to freeze the magic of Manhattan in photos and share it with others. In New York, everyone discovers a new piece of themselves, no matter which country they come from. The only thing you cannot find today is the legendary towers of the World Trade Center.”
The grand opening will be held on Thursday, April 9 at 5:30 p.m. After the opening, you can experience “Manhattan - the Magic of Steel and Glass” until April 17, weekdays between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. For more information don't hesitate to contact the curator, Mrs. Edyta Michalska, at edyta@bilkent.edu.tr
