The Physical Education and Sports Center is organizing Bilkent's traditional fitness challenge! "Fitness Challenge 2008" will run for five weeks, from October 27 to November 30, and will be held at the Student Dormitories Sports Hall. It is open to all students and academic staff.
Fitness activities will include:
- cycling (30 minutes)
- rowing (30 minutes)
- stepper (15 minutes) and cycling (15 minutes) together
- cross trainer (30 minutes)
- running on a treadmill (30 minutes)
- one set of strength training station exercises
- one step aerobics session
Participants can do, at most, two different activities in one day, will get 5 points for each activity, and are to work out at least two times, and at most five times, per week.
Those who accumulate 150 points or more by the end of the challenge will receive special t-shirts. The three male and three female participants with the most points will be awarded with medals. All who get involved have a chance to win special gifts at the end of the challenge.
