What If There Was a Fifth Season?

beşinci mevsimHande Seçkin Onat (ELIT 99'), Communications Unit Coordinator, has recently published her first picture book: "The Fifth Season," Beşinci Mevsim (Tudem Yayınları, September 2008, 36 p.).

The book is about a little girl named Selen, a turtle, a cat and a dog who play a dreaming game. Selen fantasizes about a fifth season where she can collect stars, as if they were leaves, in upside-down umbrellas. One night while watching the stars in the sky, Selen and her friends saw the brightest one of them all crying. They were told that it was because a seal was dying. Selen and her friends went to save the seal at once, carrying water to him in upside-down umbrellas. Because of their efforts, the Sun and the Cloud had a big surprise for them.

"The Fifth Season," a book for children ages 6 to 8, is now available at bookstores.
