The new watercolor paintings exhibition of distinguished artists Vahap Demirbaş and Sait Günel will open Thursday, February 11 in the Main Campus Library Exhibition Hall.
Born in 1957, Vahap Demirbaş concentrated on watercolors after experimenting in his first pieces. He has been featured in art shows in the United States and Sweden.
Demirbaş generally drew his themes from Anatolian culture, children's games, traditional weddings, and unique geographical formations across Anatolia. He has opened more than 30 personal exhibitions since 1987 and continues working in his workshop in Ankara.
Sait Günel, born in 1956, studied decoration in Germany. He opened watercolor exhibitions and was creating graphics by 1984. His works were printed by the international printing houses TUSHİTA, ARTEC and MAY. He has opened more than 50 personal exhibitions in Turkey and Germany since 1982. He continues his work in the Martan Art Gallery in Taksim, İstanbul.
The Bilkent exhibit will run from February 11 to March 3 at the Main Campus Library and is open for viewing weekdays from 10:30 a.m. to 6 p.m.
