2nd Pardus Promotion and Developers’ Days

People who are interesteded in Open Source and Free Software ideas are meeting at Pardus Promotion and Developers' Days (Pardus Tanıtım ve Geliştirme Günleri) organized by the Bilkent IEEE Computer Society with support from TBD Genç Ankara and the TÜBİTAK/UEKAE Pardus teams.

Pardus Days will be held on March 23 and 24 at Mithat Çoruh Auditorium to introduce this national operating system -Pardus- and encourage participants to develop applications in Pardus.

Pardus took its name from Anatolian leopard (lat. Panthera pardus tulliana) which is currently extinct. This Linux-based operating system project is designed for personal and enterprise usage and developed by TÜBİTAK. It is completely free and can be used for any purpose.

The activity will include seminaries about past and future of Pardus, philosophy of free software, how we become a Pardus developer, 64-bit Pardus development project and usage areas of Pardus.

This event is open to anyone and it is compulsory to register at www.pardusgunleri.org in order to attend. There will be a total of eight sessions, four in each day. Participants who registered online and attended at least four sessions will be given a certificate of attendance.
