Efes One Love Festival 2010

BURAK ŞAHİNEfes One Love Festival 2010
The festivals in Europe, especially in the UK, consist of tradition for European music listeners. People wait for the festivals the whole year, and the tickets are sold-out from the first day. While the biggest festivals' line-up are announced in Europe, Turkish festivals  also cause a stir for us. Sadly, Rock'n Coke will not be organized this year. It's been declared that Rock'n Coke will take place biennially so we'll have to wait until 2011. Still, we have important festivals such as Miller Freshtival, Sonisphere and Efes One Love. I would like to reveal Efes One Love Festival's line-up and certain opinions about them.

The line-up for the Efes One Love Festival 2010 has been announced. One of the best festivals in Turkey will be headlined by Groove Armada and The Ting Tings. De La Soul, The Whitest Boy Alive and Wild Beasts are also performing.

Groove ArmadaGroove Armada
This year's big gun is Groove Armada - without adoubt. The electronic music band consists of Andy Cato and Tom Findlay. The duo has worked with various artists since their first studio album in1998. The song "I See You Baby "  featuring Gram'ma Funk makes an impact and helped the band gain recognition. This year, Groove Armada released its 9th album, “Black Light.” This album has been promoted as the band's best album yet. Their music changes direction from house to 80s and new wave. “I Won't Kneel” and “Paper Romance” are the most sensational songs of the album. Turkey is reminded of them them with an impressive performance at the Radar Live Festival. Groove Armada is ready to rock Efes One Love .

Wild BeastsWild Beasts
Perhaps Wild Beasts is not headlining for the festival, but they deserve to be recognized. The band is formed of Hayden Thorpe, Ben Little, Tom Fleming and Chris Talbot. They are an indie rock band based in England. Wild Beasts has released two studio albums and three EPs thus far. "Two Dancers" was released in 2009. Many magazines mention them with compliments such as The Times, Uncut and NME. "All the King's Men" from the album and the last single's "We Still Got The Taste Dancin' On Our Tongues" have earned them notable rankings on the music charts. Turkish rock listeners should not miss this band.

The Efes One Love 2010 festival  will take place from June 19 to June 20 at “santralistanbul.” The limited discount price tickets on sales and wait for the Turkish music lovers.
