DOST Goes On Its First Trek of the Semester
Last weekend, on September 30, the Outdoor Sports Society (DOST) went to Işık Mountain for the club's first hike this semester. Fifty people set out on the usual DOST trekking route, which starts from the mountainside and finishes near Karagöl.
The group began their trek at 9 a.m. and hiked for 5 hours, spending half an hour for lunch near the lake. They enjoyed the fresh air, natural setting and amazing panoramas during the excursion. The trek finished at about 7 p.m., with the group having walked 16 km. On the way back to Bilkent, DOST had one of its usual post-trek suppers in Kızılcahamam for all the participants.
