Diplomacy Club Developing Model U.N. Team
The Diplomacy Club wants Bilkent to become just the second university in Turkey to participate in the Model U.N. (MUN) program.

Through MUN, students role-play diplomats from one or more countries simulating the activities of the real U.N. After convening a team and registering for one of the MUN activities that universities organize, you are given a country to represent. Then you decide on which committee you will represent your country. The committees can range from economics to political and security issues and women's rights. The next step is to research your topic and determine your country's policy on the issues so that you can debate your country's viewpoint in a conference with hundreds of students.

Currently, Koç University boasts Turkey's only MUN team. The Diplomacy Club wants to organize a team so Bilkent to take part in a MUN event, March 27-31 in the U.S. organized by Harvard and Cambridge universities. Everyone interested in starting a Bilkent MUN team is invited to a meeting at 1:40 p.m. on Tuesday, December 8, in A130 at the FEASS Building.
