Being so young, we never stop to think that death can strike so suddenly and cruelly. And when it strikes someone to whom you feel close and who expresses your feelings in his words in his songs, you begin to wonder what more he could have done even though you know you are fortunate to have known him at all. This is how we feel as YUK about Barış Manço. On March 20, 1998, he honored us with a visit to Bilkent during which he shared his many experiences. We are very grateful for his contributions and wish that he rest in peace.
