Weekend Run/Walkers Needed to Celebrate Spring Season
Bilkent is celebrating the new season Saturday, May 1, by inviting all students, faculty, staff, and their family members to take part in the 4.5-kilometer Spring Walk/Run '99.

The free event begins at 11 a.m. in front of the East Campus Sports Hall and follows a route that ends at the Main Campus Sports Center. Buses will take participants from the Main Campus Sports Center to East Campus at 10:30 a.m.

The first 400 people who sign up for and finish the event will receive a special Bilkent sports t-shirt. In addition, the top three finishers in the following age groups will receive a trophy: 55 and over, 54-45, 44-35, 34-25, 24-16, 15-11, 10 and under (the 10 and under age group will start the event from the tennis courts in the Main Campus faculty housing area).

"Join us to share in the beauty of Spring by walking and running," urges Sports Center Director Dr. Hayri Özkan.

Registration for this event will be accepted through Friday, April 30. Don't forget to get a race number when you register. For more information, call the Sports Center at ext. 1993 or 1651.
