Boğaç B. Turna Wins Prize
Boğaç Babür Turna, a graduate student in Bilkent's Department of History, has been named among the second prize winners in the 1998 Edupage and Educom Review student essay contest.

The contest was open to previously unpublished essays discussing any educational, organizational, social, or cultural aspect of technology now or in the future written by university students in any discipline anywhere in the world. Turna's essay was entitled "Playing the Westerner: An Approach to the Historical Conflict between Culture and Technology in Turkey." The first prize went to Christian Crews, a student in the University of Houston-Clear Lake master's program in Studies of the Future.
