Medical Staff Rushes to Heal Wounds

When the earthquake hit Marmara Region, Bilkent University responded immediately to help the survivors. First-aid materials, food, clothing, sleeping-bags, tents, blankets and a variety of supplies were sent to the site by truck loads. The Bilkent medical team left Ankara right after the earthquake and took a very active role in rescuing and helping the injured. The staff has been to Adapazarı, İzmit and Gölcük, and they continue visiting the sites.
The medical staff reports that the current needs of the survivors are tents, blankets, winter clothing, shoes, underwear, socks, and toys for the childern.
If you would like to donate any goods for the survivors, you can take your donations to the Housing Administration Management at Building 19 (ext. 1397 or 1551) berween 8:30 am-8:00 pm (Mondar through Friday), and between 8:30 am-5:00 pm Saturday and Sunday.
