Future Bright for Bilkent Football Team Between November 30- December 8, 1999, the Bilkent University football team took part in the Inter-University 2nd Division Group Leadership Football (Soccer) Tournament. The tournament was hotly contested, with Bilkent University putting in excellent showings against the other members of its group (Hacettepe University, Başkent University, and Police Academy). The Police Academy squad proved too strong, however, and Bilkent finished a respectable second in its group. It is worth noting that this year's Bilkent team consists of mostly first and second year students, and thus the team has the potential to move up to first place in its group in the future.
