Bilkent Reps Find Conference Useful Bilkent student representatives recently returned from the First International Conference for Student Representatives at ‚ukurova University in Adana. Student representatives from 56 universities discussed such issues as common problems universities face, the financial affairs of student unions, cultural exchange, and the feasibility of exchange programs between universities. The students attended four workshops to improve their understanding of the structure of student councils. In addition, a high commission consisting of seven universities including Bilkent was formed to represent all university students in Turkey. "Universities in Turkey have a lot of problems and we believe that it is not too late to come together to work on these problems. The important thing is to discuss them in a positive, calm, and friendly atmosphere," says Zeynep Kšksal, the Student Council Vice-President.
