Join the Go Club
The Bilkent Go Club was established at the beginning of this academic year. The objective of the club is to popularize this mysterious ancient Chinese board game in our country. Although it is played all over the world, especially in the U.S.A., England, France, and Croatia, it is not yet well known in Turkey.

Here is what two members had to say about the club.

Güney Çalışkan (EE): "Our aim is to encourage people to look at matters from different perspectives. Playing Go trains people to do just that. We meet every week, and we are also planning to hold a tournament during the Spring Festival."

Serdar İşler (IE): "At every meeting, we go over the rules for people new to the game (the rules are easy enough to learn in ten minutes) and discuss some interesting positions that come up in almost every game. Afterwards, members pair up to play."

Everyone is welcome! For more information, take a look at www.ug.bcc.bilkent.edu.tr/~go or drop us a line at go@ug.bcc.bilkent.edu.tr.
