Nasuh Mahruki Meets Bilkenters
Nasuh Mahruki, the founder of AKUT (Arama Kurtarma Derneği/ Search and Rescue Organization), will be meeting Bilkenters for an informative presentation on "Arama, Kurtarma, ve Doğa Sporları İlişkisi" through the combined organizational efforts of DOST Kulübü and Bilkent'liyiz alumni magazine. The presentation will take place at FEASS C Block Auditorium at 1:40 p.m. on Thursday, March 30.

Nasuh graduated from the Faculty of Business Administration at Bilkent University in 1992. While at Bilkent, Nasuh joined Dağcılık ve Doğa Sporları Kulübü (Mountaineering and Nature Sports Club), and served as the president of the club for three years. He and his friends changed the name of the club to Doğa Sporları Topluluğu (DOST). Nasuh recently climbed Mount Ararat, where he experienced the tragic loss of his friend, İskender Iğdır.

Nasuh saved many lives after the dramatic earthquakes in Turkey. He was also one of the people in AKUT to join several international rescue operations to save lives in other countries hit by earthquakes.
