Dr. Mustafa Pınar, an associate professor in the Department of Industrial Engineering has placed second in the Robert Faure Competition organized by ROADEF, a French research organization. The competition was open to researchers under the age of 35 who are members of ROADEF. Entrants were required to submit all of their publications to a jury. Dr. Pınar says that the submitted research had to include an applied component to receive a high ranking from the jury.
For his second-place finish, Dr. Pınar received an award of 6000 FFr. Currently, Mustafa Pınar is on sabbatical at the Université Libre de Bruxelles. For more information on the Robert Faure Competition, click on http://www.lip6.fr/ROADEF/.
