"Tourists" Capture Basketball Crown
The month-long Rector's Cup 2000 Basketball Tournament, organized by the Physical Education and Sports Center, recently came to a successful conclusion. Approximately seventy students belonging to seven teams enjoyed the relaxed competitive atmosphere, kept fit, and had a lot of fun. The finals took place on April 27 and after a see-saw battle "Tourists" (THS/THM) slipped past "Not a Pipe"(IE) by a score of 75-71 to become the Rector's Cup 2000 champions.
"Stigmata"defeated "Teymur"87-67 for third place.

At a ceremony following the games, the winners were presented with trophies by Dr. Hayri Özkan, Director of the Physical Education and Sports Center.

Congratulations to all the participants for making this year's Rector's Cup a success! The full tournament results are as follows:

    1st place : Tourists
    2nd place : Not a Pipe
    3rd place : Stigmata
    4th place : Teymur
