Bilkent Judges hit the football field for the first time in a real game situation when they met the Gazi University team on April 15. After an exciting four quarters marked by fine defensive play, Bilkent came out on top with a score of 8-6. It was a tremendous success for the Judges, as the experienced Gazi University squad had finished in third place in the American Football League in Turkey. After the game several Judges players stated that with all the practices they had been having they had come to the game confident that they could win.
A week after downing Gazi University, the Judges went head to head with the Başkent University team. Başkent found itself overwhelmed on all fronts as Bilkent routed them 72-0, thereby eliminating Başkent from the league.
