Two faculty members, Ayhan Altıntaş and Levent Onural, were awarded Third Millennium Medals by IEEE (Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, Inc.) for their outstanding achievements and contributions to the field.
IEEE is the largest technical organization in the world with almost 340,000 members. To mark the beginning of the new millenium, IEEE has decided to award those members who have contributed to the progress of the electrical engineering profession and who have provided valuable services to IEEE.
The medals were presented to Prof. Altıntaş and Prof. Onural by the IEEE Turkey Section Chair, Assoc. Prof. Orhan Arıkan, at a ceremony on Saturday, April 22.
