Join National Youth Camps
This summer, young people aged 18-24 will gather together at 81 camps in each city in Turkey. Run by Gençlik ve Spor Genel Müdürlüğü (General Directorate of Youth and Sports), the program, "Youth Project 2000 for Social Development, "aims to host 40,000 young adults in these camps over five separate week-long periods.

Approximately one hundred people at a time will attend each camp program, which will include sightseeing tours, volunteer activities (such as painting schools or building fountains), and social events (such as going to movies, plays, concerts, and exhibitions or visiting museums and historical sites). Food, accommodation, and health care for the participants will be provided by the camp management. Besides making friends, young people will have the opportunity to learn about the surrounding region and contribute to its development.

Applications for the program can be submitted to the Student Union Office along with a one-time registration fee of 10 million T.L. The deadline for applications is Wednesday, May 31. For more information, visit the web site www.gsm-youth.org, e-mail gsmser@superonline.com, or phone 417-1124.
