IAED Students Win Luminaire Contest Philips Lighting Co. arranged a luminaire contest among the university students in Turkey. Nine luminaires designed by students of Department of Interior Architecture and Environmental Design are awarded. Winners of the contest, Alpaslan Atalay, Serkan Ateş, Elif Aydın, Alper Bozlak, Hande Büyükpamukçu, Kerem Demircan, Zeynep Edes, Pınar Şişman, and Nilda Terekeci, together with their advisors, Serpil Altay and Cengiz Yener are invited to the USA to visit Philips Lighting Co. premises. The trip took place from 28th of October to 1st of November. In the picture below, the award-winning students together with advisor Dr. Cengiz Yener, are seen in front of the model of the Light Sphere, which will be installed, into the Times Square, New York, for the Millenium Eve Ball.
