Kanat is One Year Old
|
|
Kanat, news bulletin of the Center for Turkish Literature, is a year old. Kanat features articles about the symposia, lectures, and reading programs organized by the Center under the leadership of Professor Talat Halman. It publishes reviews of major scholarly contributions to Turkish literary studies as well as reviews of books on literature published by Bilkent faculty and students. Articles for Kanat are written mostly by the graduate students of the Department of Turkish Literature. Dr. Süha Oğuzertem serves as the bulletin's editor and Funda Neslioğlu as its assistant editor.
In Kanat's Autumn issue, there are reviews of significant books and journals, news about the Young Critics Symposium, a list of publications by the Department's graduate students, and an article about the major internet sites devoted to Turkish literature. There is also a surprise! You will discover for the first time the poems of a preeminent scholar teaching at Bilkent.
