Why Join a Club? Because It's Fun!!
The finalized club list has 84 university clubs for you to consider. If you are presently not a member of a club, perhaps you've been thinking about joining one? What follows are some activities that club members arranged last week. Perhaps they'll help you with your choice:

  • The Tourism Club went on a trip to Safranbolu, a small town about three hours away from Ankara and a popular tourist attraction. The club arranged the trip to discover the mysteries of the Safranbolu houses and during the trip, Kaymakam House, shopping centers, and Yörük Village were visited. Everybody enjoyed both the town and its environs, and also the food - especially gözleme, a kind of Turkish pastry, which was served in a lovely, traditional restaurant. An added plus was the pleasant, sunny weather. On their way back from Safranbolu, people sang songs in the bus. All in all, it was quite a memorable day. Need more info? E-mail to
    caktas@ug.bilkent.edu.tr.

  • The Engineering Society and Student Board organized a dinner at the Edessa Restaurant. It was a wonderful chance to socialize in a highly enjoyable atmosphere. To see photos of the event, go to www.ug.bcc.bilkent.edu.tr/~es/ Want to join the society? Send an email to
    es@ug.bilkent.edu.tr.

  • Yeni Ufuklar Kulübü sponsored another stimulating activity. Their members visited Türkiye Büyük Millet Meclisi (Great National Turkish Assembly) and discussed the future of Turkey with a member of the Parliament. To inquire about joining this club, write to
    yunten@ug.bcc.bilkent.edu.tr.
