Faculty Member Wins Parlar Award
Dr. Ayşe Baş Collins from the School of Tourism and Hotel Management has received the "Thesis of the Year Award" from Parlar Foundation for her development of a school-based instructional supervision model for use in the field of educational administration. Her thesis, titled "A Case Study of Instructional Supervision at a Private Secondary School", assesses the effectiveness of instructor performance and the model was found to be ideally suited for use within educational environments. Last year, Dr. Billur Barshan (EE) and Dr. Mustafa Ç. Pınar (IE) were also recognized by the Parlar Foundation: they were honored with "Young Investigator Awards."
