TÜBA (Turkish Academy of Sciences) has announced that Prof. Ramazan Gençay, faculty member at the FEASS, has been selected to receive Teşvik Ödülü (Young Investigators Award). Prof. Gençay is the recipient of one of the three TÜBA awards this year, for his international studies in the econometrics field.

Starting his career at Windsor University in Canada in 1991, Professor Gençay has more than 35 international publications and over 25 conference presentations; two publications by Academic Press, "Wavelets and Other Filtering Methods in Finance and Economics" and "An Introduction to High Frequency Finance" are on the way. Gençay acted as the director of the'Canadian Econometrics Group'between 1994-1999 and is still a member of the group's Board of Directors. Besides his professorship at Bilkent, Prof. Gençay is currently a faculty member at Windsor University.
