UCC (University Case Competition) 2000 is a one-semester, undergraduate project course offered to senior students from engineering and management departments. This course is offered by Nortel Networks of Canada to about a dozen universities worldwide, most of which are in North America.
The course is entitled Network Architecture and Service Provider Planning, and students taking the course work on a business-driven real-life network service provider design project.
Interdisciplinary teams composed of 2 MAN, 1 EE, and 1 CE students build a service provider business roadmap starting from the creation of a new business idea right through to the financial and technical analysis of the business based on real world market and customer data. These business cases will be evaluated first in an intra-university competition, and the winning team will represent Bilkent University in an inter-university competition judged by a panel of industry experts and venture capitalists. The international competition will take place in Ottawa on December 2, 2000, and it offers cash awards.
The course uses advanced teaching technologies such as interactive video conferencing for lectures, which are also available on CD-ROMs for review.
If you have a new business idea, and want to learn how to make a thorough business case analysis of it, UCC 2000 provides you with the perfect opportunity.
