Stay in tune with Bilkent Sports activities
Has the heavy load of exams and projects got to you? Probably it has. Most students might be really stressed out and in need of some physical activity to motivate themselves.

Everyone knows of the benefits of exercise. But let's revise some of the main points. For your upcoming exams you want to be alert. Exercising regularly can help in this respect. It increases overall awareness, reduces anxiety levels and helps in managing stress effectively. And that's not all: creativity is boosted too, depression is subdued and you can have fun even when bored.

These reasons are just a few that can help you prepare for an exam and achieve excellent grades. So here is the good news: Bilkent Sports Center will be holding a few events in the upcoming week. These events include an aerobics step master class, an introductory meeting of the swimming team, and an inter-university badminton tournament.

On Thursday, November 16 in the Main Campus Sports Center, there will be the aerobics step master class. Many universities such as METU, Ankara, Başkent, Hacettepe, Gazi and Bilkent will participate. Entrance is free and the first 110 people to register will receive T-shirts. The show will start at 6:30 p.m. and finish at 8 p.m.

The second event to be held is a meeting on the Bilkent swimming team on Tuesday, November 14 at Main Campus Sports Center. The meeting is an announcement for male and female candidates to come and talk about how to join the team. Other discussions will revolve basically around venue decisions, as Bilkent's swimming complex is still under construction. Don't forget to be at the Sports Center at 5:30 p.m.

The third activity to take place is the Inter-University Badminton Tournament. This tournament is an annual event open to all. It will start on Saturday, November 18, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and registration for singles, doubles and mixed doubles must be filled in before the 18th,. So come on, participate in the activities being offered and relax for that forthcoming exam with a fresh mind!
