A publication by Bilkent faculty Faruk Selçuk, Ramazan Gençay in conjunction with Brandon Whitcher entitled “An Introduction to Wavelets and Other Filtering Methods in Finance and Economics” (Academic Press,September 2001), has ranked first on the bestseller lists of “Wavelets” (144 titles), and “Mathematics, Pure Mathematics and Functional Analysis” (248 titles). The publication is also ranked 85th in the general category of “Economics”, which has over 3000 different titles on Amazon.com.
