Bilkent Physicist Receives Simavi Award

   Dr. Tugrul Hakioglu, a member of the Department of Physics, has received the Simavi Award in Science for the year 2001. The prestigious Simavi Award (in honor of Sedat Simavi, renowned journalist) recognizes the contribution of Dr. Hakioglu in the field of mathematical physics and in particular concerning the phase problem in quantum mechanics.
   Dr. Hakioglu will receive his award at a commemoration ceremony to be held in Istanbul on December 11.Click, to go back to the contents of this issue
