The Board of Trustees of Bilkent University met yesterday (Monday December 10), presided by Professor İhsan Doğramacı. Members attending the meeting included, Messrs. O. Baysal, Y. Dinçmen, A. Cell Suicide Research Published

An important new discovery has been made in the field of cell suicide by Ph.D. students Berna Sayan, Gülayşe İnce and Emre Sayan, supervised by Prof. Dr. Mehmet Öztürk at the Faculty of Science and the Department of Molecular Biology and Genetics.

Dr. Tahire Erman’s article “The Politics of Squatters (Gecekondu) in Turkey: The Changing Representations of Rural Migrants in the Academic Discourse” has been awarded the prestigious Donald Robertson Memorial Prize for the best paper published in Urban Studies in 2001...
