Student Symposium on Literary Theses and Theories Begins
This week, December 25 through 28, at a four-day “Theses and Theories Symposium”, thirty graduate students from the Department of Turkish Literature will be presenting their work to the public. The first two days of the symposium will deal with theories of literature in the context of Turkish literature. During the last two days, students will make presentations based on their masters theses which are currently under preparation.
“Theses and Theories Symposium” is the fourth graduate student symposium organized by the Department of Turkish Literature since May 2000. Many of the students papers are published in literary journals and magazines in Turkey following the symposia.
The symposium will take place December 25 through 28 at FADA, FFB-05. The sessions are scheduled between 10 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday and Wednesday, and between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. on Thursday and Friday. The symposium will conclude with a reception on Friday afternoon. For program details, see the insert in this week's Bilkent News. Come and give your support to the young literary scholars of Turkey during this unique event.
