Badminton Anyone?
Bedminton Anyone?

“Bilkent University is the second university to encourage badminton as a sport, among Turkish universities, and currently has the best court in Turkey according to International Badminton Federation Standards” says İrfan Yıldırım, the founder of the Turkish Badminton Federation (1991), who has been training the university badminton team since 1991. Badminton is played by both men and women, requiring equal skill and physical commitment by both men and women. As a game, badminton involves speed of eye, foot, hand and thought in an almost unique combination.
Bedminton Anyone? Currently there are 40 university teams in Turkey and badminton is now one of the fastest growing sports in Turkey. Anyone between the ages of 6 and 70 can enjoy it. Although badminton is considered to be “The Fastest Racket Sport on Earth”, it does not require a great deal of muscle power.
Bilkent University’s Badminton Team is now in the Turkish Premier League. Last semester there were 40 students (22 ladies and 18 men) registered badminton courses, and as its popularity has grown, more are expected this year. Would you like to try this fast but easy-to-play racket sport? Join up now!
