Join the Fantasy Role Play

Bilkent Students now have a club where they can play several fantasy games. FRP (Fantasy Role Play) games are currently being played by the members of Fantazi Kurgu Kulübü. The game is played using dice, pencil and paper. During the game the players identify themselves with the characters that they have chosen. The president of the Fantazi Kurgu Kulübü Renan Kazazoðlu says that “This game can simply be defined as theater.” While a FRP game takes place, a master who is regarded as “DM” governs and balance the activities of the players. The master's job is similar to that of a referee.
There are several information books available for the game; and while you play you can use the stories taken from these books to determine your playing strategies. “While the players are creating their roles, their alter ego directs their behaviors” says Renan. And he adds that the style of FRP that they play is different from the computer FRP games that people play on their PCs.
If you want to learn more about this game and see the game actually being played by club members, don't miss the upcoming meetings of Fantazi Kurgu Kulübü. The meetings take place every Monday at the Student Union, room ZB-03 at 6 p.m. Come and experience the thrill of a live FRP game!
