Reflections After a Funny Exhibition
It’s a Shame I Quit Smoking

“Four out of three Turks have a sense of humor”, says Aziz Nesin. The Humor Club’s Cartoon Exhibition last week demonstrated the great master’s wisdom once again, and the exhibition enjoyed immense popularity, it never short of visitors and their hearty laughter. The commentary book is full of praises, which motivates us to start preparing for the next exhibition.
Students who regularly attended the club’s weekly workshops prepared the exhibition over a period of six months. Almost none of them had ever drawn cartoons before they started to attend the club. They met in workshops at least once a week; theoretical discussions during the workshop were transformed into cartoons at home, sometimes done alone and sometimes accompanied with a merry group of friends. Students have worked and progressed greatly in six months and the exhibition is a token of their progress.
