Due to the recent Olympic games and the World Figure Skating Championships, interest in ice skating has dramatically increased. Ice skating combines the thrill of sports with the beauty of ballet, the speed of speed skating and the physical excitement of hockey. Not only is skating a joy to watch, it's fun to do and fairly easy to learn.
Bilkent University is offering everyone the opportunity to learn figure skating throughout this semester in courses conducted by a Main Campus Health Center Doctor, Levent Tunalı. Courses take place on Monday and Wednesdays between 6:15 p.m. and 7 p.m. in BELPA, which is at most a 2 minute walk from the Bahçelievler bus stop. For those who are busy on weekdays, other courses will be provided according to the needs of the participants. Everyone can register this week at the Student Dormitory Sports Center.
