Exhibition ZAN is an exhibition by three instructors from Fine Arts and Graphic Design: Zekiye Sarıkartal, Anna Krolikiewicz and Nina Kerstelli. Their work will be on display at the Faculty of Art, Design and Architecture Art Gallery during the 1st-11th of April. 9 a.m. to 5:15 p.m.
The name of the exhibition, which is derived from the first letters of the names of the participating artists, is translated as “under pressure” in Turkish, by which the artists wish to draw attention to the marginal place of women in society; women, they are suggesting, are indeed “under pressure”. The exhibition comprises illustrations, paintings and installations by Zekiye Sarıkartal, Anna Krolikiewicz and Nina Kerstelli and are all works made in the previous year.
