Dear Editor,
Under the headline, "ELIT Student on the list of ILP" on March 26, 2002, I performed a background search on ILP, being personally interested in poetry. In my humble opinion, the poem published is not really a worthy example (this, of course, is a subjective thing). Leaving aside "the creative and mysterious work", as the author calls it, I wondered what kind of an organization ILP is. Below is a piece of information I came up with in a forum. By inquiring further, I found that what is told below is confirmed by many people; it appears that the ILP list is not really selective at all, as stated in the newspaper.
My aim is not to insult anyone, neither the 'poet' of the poem, nor the person who published this news. However, as a serious publication in the best university in Turkey, I think the value of the news should be more deeply investigated prior to being confirmed.
