“Crimes of the Heart” on Stage by AMER Students

For the past four years, Bilkent students from various departments have been putting their English language skills to the test in dramatic performances. The aim of the plays has been to get students to act and interpret literature while having fun.
This week "Crimes of the Heart" by Beth Henley will be presented by AMER students.
"Crimes of the Heart" was the co-winner of the 1979 Great American Play Contest. A black comedy about three sisters, one of whom has just shot her husband, “Crimes of the Heart” then moved to New York where it won the Pulitzer Prize for Drama and the New York Drama Critics Circle Award for Best American Play of 1981. The performance, directed by Dr. Ryan Jerving, an instructor in the department of American Culture and Literature, will take place on Friday, May 9 and Sunday, May 11 at FEASS, C-Block Auditorium at 7:30 p.m.
The cast is as follows: Müge Atala, Aslı Erdoğan, Melike Tokay, Kamer Sertkan, Hüseyin Kural, Ziya Zaptçıoğlu, Binnur Demirel, Aydın Pınar, Melissa Tornaviti, Zeynep Atiker, Deniz Destici.
