Inter University Championship Competitions Leads to Friendship

Bilkent University teams, successfully competed in the National Inter University Championship Competitions.


The National Inter University Boxing Championship was held between May 4-6, among 13 different universities. The team, lead by Feyzullah Aydaş (Can Zinciroğlu, Oğulcan Atay, Enver Sedat Mengene, Tolga Demir ) won the bronze medal, while İsmail Keskinoğlu won the silver.

The National Inter University 2nd League Tennis Championships were held between May 6-10 among 17 different universities in the men’s category and 12 different universities in the women's. The Bilkent women’s tennis team (Hande Araz, Hafize Toker, Mine Seymen and Gizem Ucul) took first place and the Bilkent's Men’s team (Efe Kıncal, Burak Özüt, İbrahim Evirgen and Ata Doğanoğlu) took 3rd place throughout Turkey. Due to these outstanding results, both teams will have the opportunity to play in the Super League next year. The tennis teams are coached by Alper Uğraş and Serhan Gür.

In addition to boxing and tennis, the National Inter University Fencing Championship was held between May 12-15 in Bursa with the participation of 17 universities. The Bilkent University EPE team (Doruk Gölcü, Ali Nabi Duman, Doruk Kafoğlu, Pascal Koray Zandar) won first place while the FLÖRE men’s team (Yavuz Şir, Arash Repac, Hakan Arı and Doruk Gölcü) took third. In the men’s individual category, Doruk Gölcü won second place. The fencing teams were coached by Halim Şener.
