Başkent University hosted the 2nd Annual International Student’s Conference between March 27-29, focusing on Culture and Texts: "Interrelations and Subversions." This unique conference attracted student presenters not only from Turkish universities but also from universities in Europe, Latin America and the United States.
Bilkent students from a number of different departments, gave papers; these included Selen Akun, Hakan Arbulut, Barış Biliri Leyla Demirel, Semih Gürkan, Alev Kuruoğlu, Levend Özçelik, and Oğuz Tanyıldızı. Bilkent Faculty who also participated as panel moderators were Dean Bülent Bozkurt, Doctors Diane Bunch, Ryan Jerving, Eileen T. Lundy and Edward J. Lundy.
The student presenters from Bilkent found this international conference both a stimulating introduction to professional conferences and also an enjoyable opportunity to share their ideas with students from other cultures and countries.
